We said good-bye to Mr. Wood's sweet parents today and sent them off on a train back to Virginia in the gloomiest weather imaginable. It was a fun and beautiful weekend with so much delicious food and wine and great conversation. I feel very fortunate to have married into such a great family.
This cold, wet, gray weather suits my mood perfectly and was all I needed to convince myself to get back to this little room and make something. I've been meaning to make some more journals, so this is what I came up with.
These are 60-page moleskines, blank inside, with my illustration turned into a sticker/label-type thing. And a handmade bookmark, complete with vintage buttons (and one tiny red heart)...
When this little journal is filled up with all your ideas and sketches and lists and what-nots, the bookmark will keep all your other books' company for years to come...I thought they'd make a nice gift. Right now I have enough supplies to make 3 of them. I need to find some more of the tiny heart buttons somewhere. I just don't think it would be the same without that sweet little teeny tiny heart...
I just listed it in the shop, along with this (which I blogged about before if it looks familiar)...
Little handmade keepsake box...the holidays are upon us, after all! I'm going to be part of the Poppytalk Holiday Marketplace the last couple of weeks of December when they'll be featuring last-minute gift possiblities so I'm attempting to be on top of things and get things listed. I'm really excited and curious to see what happens because I've never been a part of anything like this before. I really want to do a craft fair but have yet to get organized enough.
